The campus was originally Padgate Teacher Training College and is home to the University College Warrington which is part of the Warrington Collegiate Institute. F for Fernhead is used in the NUTS name to avoid confusion with the track at the Police Training Centre in Paddington which is listed as Warrington (B) where B is for Bruche.
