Other Info:
The track was originally cinder 7 lanes all round although certainly by the 1990s, the LJ/TJ and JT runways were synthetic. The whole facility was upgraded to synthetic in 2020 but reduced to 6 lanes all round. It is sometimes referred to being as in Blaen Clydach (Clydach Vale) or Rhondda and hosted Welsh League and Championship Meetings in the 1970s. This was probably the venue of a 46.86 HT by Leanne Jones on 12 Jun 1997 and suggests that the throwing cage prior to the 2020 upgrade which only had a DT-sized circle was also used for HT.
