Other Info:
The track was originally cinder and was presumably opened at the same time as the stadium which was built in 1965. The synthetic (Tartan) track opened on 22 Jul 1975 and has been relaid once since then. Since 1992 the track has been managed by the host club Trafford AC under the name Trafford Athletic Club Stadium Management. Additional facilities include a fitness/weights suite. A new £1M clubhouse opened on 7th January 2001 although the official opening is planned for later in 2001. The stadium holds more meetings than any other in the UK. The track is also sometimes referred to as Stretford Stadium or Longford Park Stadium.
