The track was built in 1993 and has a Spurtan BS surface. It is on the grounds of Sandown High School and Fairway Sports Complex is a part of this. The track is however officially managed by Heights Health & Leisure, Broadway, SANDOWN, PO36 9ET, telephone 01983 405594 even though is about a mile from the track.
