This old cinder track was built in the 1960s as part of the C F Mott teacher training college which later became the City of Liverpool College of Higher Education. The college closed in about 1992, Knowsley council sold the land and it is now Knightswood Business Park. The postal border between L36 (Liverpool) and L34 (Prescot) actually used to bisect the location of the track but have listed it under Prescot as the college would have fallen in Prescot and the location is now completely in Prescot. The location is virtually adjacent another old track which is listed under Huyton.
