The track was situated on Flathouse Road at the old location of the RN Physical Training School at HMS TEMERAIRE which is now situated on Burnaby Road together with the replacement Victory Stadium track. It was sometimes referred to as being on Pitt Street but that road no longer exists. The track was originally 440y and later converted to 400m. The last meeting to be staged here was the Royal Navy Championships on 18th June 1980 but the track existed until about 1993 when it was built over and is now Victory Retail Park. At one time the track had a 220y straight on which McDonald Bailey ran. The only bit of the old HMS TEMERAIRE which is left is Pitt Street Baths which is now a "Centre of Excellence for Gymnastics".
