Other Info:
The track was believed to have been part of the Park Hall Barracks Army Camp which closed over 25 years ago and was a few hundred yards north-east of the current Park Hall Stadium. It is shown on the OS Explorer map but not on the OS 1:10,000 map. The location is now just a field with an indentation. However nobody in Oswestry Olympians who were stationed there can remember it as a track. It thus may have been to do with military ceremonies, which is supported by the shape of the road and former officers houses in front of it.
