Other Info:
This was the major track in Norfolk until 1989 when the synthetic one at UEA opened. It was situated in the Lakenham area of Norwich. After that, the track was only used by schools and had been in reasonable condition although most of the field-event facilities were not in a usable state. There was a pavilion at the track alongside the back straight but it was rather run down. The home straight was extended at both ends to give a 200m/220y straightaway. A football complex called Goals has been built over it.
