Other Info:
The track is on the grounds of Lings Upper School and so is not available during school hours but is managed by the adjacent Lings Forum Leisure Centre at other times. The Leisure Centre opened in 1975 and it seems likely that the track was built at the same time. It is on a large redgra arena and has permanent curbs on both bends but not down the straights. There are permanent facilities for all events except JT although most are now unusable. The track was used by Northampton Phoenix AC prior to Sixfields opening in 1994. Although only 8 lanes are usually marked down the home straight, there is room for about 10.
