The track is shown on 1992 A-Z but not on current one which shows nothing in the location. It is believed a track used to exist around the cricket ground owned by Mather & Platt who owned the Park Works before Weir Pumps Ltd. A near circular track is shown on the 1982 OS Pathfinder map and the shape of the infield would thus be consistent with that of a cricket pitch which was believed to have been abandoned in about 1994. There are some green all-weather strips in one corner which were probably practice wickets. The ground is still there but overgrown and there are some indications that there was once a track as part of a possible barrier round the track still exists. There are also concrete paths in places which might have been part of the track.
