Other Info:
A smaller than standard track is shown on the 1990 edition of the A-Z and on the OS 1:10,000 map in the location which now is a Tesco supermarket and is just north of Wyncote Sports Ground (also known as Geoffrey Hughes Memorial Ground) which contains a 400m track. The track is believed to have been part of Quarry Bank school which was demolished to make way for the Tesco store. John Lennon was once a pupil there and this was why the original name of the Beatles was the "Quarrymen".
