Other Info:
The track was situated where Torkildsen Way is now. It used to surround the football pitch of Harlow Town FC and was in a poor state of repair and had not staged a meeting since about 1995. Many of the field-event facilities are unusable. The PV runway inside the top bend was partially overgrown and clearly disused as was the 2 lane double-ended LJ/TJ runway alongside it. A stand for standing spectators was built alongside the back straight over the middle of the other PV runway. In 2000, the then adjacent Sportcentre was intending to develop their present site and to sell off the land that the track is on for additional car parking and housing. The track is believed to have been closed from about 2005 and a replacement track for the town was provided at Mark Hall School. The Sportcentre has also been demolished.
