Other Info:
The site are some grass pitches that are the playing fields of the Guildford County School. The area of the track is basically a football pitch used by a team called Merrow FC. It is believed that a track is marked out in the summer. It is in a hollow which looks like it might have included a permanent track because the shape is right but there is no evidence of this. Also, at the western end there are the remains of a pole vault and LJ/TJ runways and, at the other end, a grassed over high jump area and also SP fan. From aerial photos, they appeared to have been grassed over sometime between 2007 and 2012. Also, the clubhouse has a bizarre elevated extension which may have been a timer's hut and elsewhere on the site is the frame of a throwing cage. As of 2021, there are tentative plans by Guildford County School and Tormead School to redevelop the site and include provision of an all-weather 6 lane 400m track.
