Other Info:
The track was opened in 1965 by Joy Jordan and had a planned lifespan of 10-15 years but was used until the early 1990s when the site was sold to Tesco for a Superstore. Events were held here prior to the opening of the Guildford Spectrum track in about 1993 although there was a two-year gap when the local club Guildford & Godalming AC had to use a council-owned grass track for training. In the summer it was reported to be a bit of a dustbowl but as it was built on clay soil it was more often quite the opposite following a moderate rain shower. The entrance was believed to be on Egerton Road.
