Other Info:
Ibrox Park, the ground of Rangers FC, opened on 30th December 1899 and had a cinder 440y track around it. The annual Rangers Sports, highly popular in the late 1940s, 50s and early 60s were held here. Derek Ibbotson ran 3:58.4 for the mile here on 15th June 1957. The ground which now seems to be referred to as Ibrox Stadium was radically altered in about the early 1980s so the track may have existed until then.
