Other Info:
This is a now a slightly banked asphalt track around the ground used by Falmouth RFC and is more or less 400m in length. Cycling events were held in Falmouth in the past but the exact location is not known. If it was here then this track may only ever have been a cycle one. It is generally in poor condition and clearly is not used for any serious sporting activity these days. Falmouth was the venue of Anthony Endean's 7.06 LJ on 16 Jul 1958 which is in the UK all-time list but may not have been here. Bill Green reports that there was an 'Area Schools' meet at Falmouth in June 1958 and a meet in 1962 at the Falmouth Docks Sports Association Ground. Both of these may well have been held on temporary grass tracks.
