Other Info:
The original cinder track is believed to have been built in the 1950s. The track was upgraded in 1999 to a Polytan WS synthetic surface by H.E. Construction Services Ltd. following a £1M Lottery award. It opened for training on 10th August and the opening meeting took place on 26th September. The straights are slightly longer than standard due to lack of space at the site. The pavilion at the track which is separate to the Erith Sports Centre is called The Myra Garrett Pavilion. The infield is a football pitch used by Erith Town FC.
