Other Info:
There is a green synthetic sprint straight down one side of the ground which is the Scottish national rugby union stadium although it staged rugby league's Challenge Cup Final in 2000. Murrayfield has been used for athletics meetings in the past but it is thought that the oval track used was only ever a temporary grass affair. It was a certainly a grass track in 1968. More details on Murrayfield can be found on the Scottish Rugby Union website.
