The track was part of the Old Park Army barracks which were vacated in the early 1990s. The track existed in full until 1999 but was badly rutted and was slightly overgrown in parts. By April 2000, the top bend had been removed and as of Feb 2001 is still wasteland. The rest of the track, including the curbs, is still visible and was used as a large car park although as of Feb 2001 the track area has been fenced off and the cars moved. Tthe whole site is owned by Dover Harbour Board. It is thought likely that the track site will be built over especially as there are signs to save the adjacent Dover Transport Museum.
