Other Info:
The track was originally cinder and built in 1931. It was upgraded to synthetic in 1994. It is thought the shape of the track was changed then to a regular oval as the track is depicted on OS maps as having relatively long straights and tight bends with the home straight extended to make it about 200m long. The original pavilion is still in use although it is not suitable for wheelchair users. A PA system is available. Proposals were drawn up in 1997 to provide a new pavilion or to refurbish the existing one but were put on hold due to financial restrictions. The infield is the football pitch of Bradford Park Avenue AFC.
