Other Info:
This cinder track was triangular shaped and was around the cricket ground which is still used by Astley Bridge CC. Although the track is still shown on the OS Explorer map a recent aerial picture suggests that the track has been grassed over. The track was there since the opening of the ground on 28th April 1928 with a cricket match between Astley Bridge & Radcliffe. There is more history of the ground on the Astley Bridge CC website.
