Other Info:
A Whippet & Athletic Ground Race Track is marked on a 1989 Bartholomew (now Collins) streetfinder atlas on Stanhill Road near the junction with Moss Lane so it may have been a running track at one time. The land is now occupied by the M65 motorway which was built in the 1990s. No track is however shown on an OS 1:10,000 map that predates the motorway.
